I'm quite excited because we're going to Kyoto and Nara! As usual, we had to wake up extremely early(5:00am) to get ready and meet the tour guide at Hotel Granvia around 7:30am.
Best thing about joining tours is that they bring you to all the places of attraction and the worst thing is that you don't have sufficient time to take as many photo as you like because they would always rush you and if you don't go along with them, everyone will go -_- at you for wasting their time.
Stopped by at 7/11 to buy some bread just in case we're hungry in the bus. Moreover, mom looks really happy in this picture.
It was empty.. for a while. 5 minutes later, it was packed with people who are heading for work.
Met up with our tour guide and she got us a return ticket from Umeda Station to Kyoto Station. 4,860Yen is about BND $69. Crazy expensive for a train ticket but I guess it's quite far.
So so ready for Kyoto! :D
Damn huge Christmas tree at Kyoto Station!
Kyoto Tower(京都タワー) which is located right in front of the MRT Station.
Our first stop was to Nijo Castle(二条城). We saw a lot of students as it was their term break and they were on a field trip(well that's what I heard from the tour guide).
Ninomaru Palace(二の丸御殿).
Walked around, took photos and we headed for our next stop to Kinkakuji Temple where you can see the golden pavilion.
As far as I remember, I think at certain times there will be fire on the "大".
I want vending machines like these in Brunei! Why are the Japanese so amazing at inventing things like these? T_T
The amazing view of the Golden Pavilion! The top two stories of the Pavilion are covered with pure gold leaf!
Notice the Golden Pavilion behind us!
Cute little doggie ^.^
Our tour guide who has an adopted Filipino daughter!
Cypress(Hinoki wood) were used as a material to build palaces, temples, shrines and etc.
This baby is damn cute! He smiles when I smile. :3
Head to lunch at Kyoto Handicraft Centre!
Wide spread of Japanese food!
The restaurant was filled with Japanese students.
Chicken with Japanese(?) black sauce. It was.. meh. A little too salty for me. Mushroom was good though!
The food was sooooo good! Gave the side dishes to mom though. Doesn't look that good.
Passed by the pagoda :)
Headed to Todaiji Temple in Nara right after our lunch which was approx. an hour drive from Kyoto to Nara.
Went inside the Great Buddha Hall and saw a lot of Japanese students. Two of the boys said hi to me with a wide smile. Damn.. Japanese kids are really polite! When I walked out of the hall, another 2 Japanese girl smiled and said hi. They then smirked when I greeted them back. So cute!!
The deer park is just next to the temple so we went to feed the deers after touring the temple.
Apparently they'll just follow you IF they know you have food with you. And yes, that guy was trying to escape.
Deers.. deers everywhere.
Hehehe hi! ^.^
Our last stop of the day was to the Kasuga Grand Shrine(春日大社)!
It was so beautiful.. :')
Bought this which contains a fortune paper. My fortune wasn't that bad except for the illness part(because "serious, but don't lost hope" was written on the paper).
Tour concludes upon arrival at Kintestu Namba Station around 6:00pm.
We went to Shinsaibashi instead.. I guess this is the "Shinjuku" of Osaka?
DAISO!
Love this place omg can I live here forever
Humans.. humans everywhere.
Then when we were walking.. I saw a Hello Kitty shop.. Sanrio!! :D
Love!! ^.^
Apparently we were a little too late so most of the shops are closed. :(
Had Freshness Burger for dinner.. this. is. love.
Ordered Teriyaki Chicken Burger! It was so gooood!
That concludes our 3rd day in Japan. What's exciting is.. we're going to Universal Studios the next day! ^.^
Stay tuned for my next post!! :D
